It is my gratitude to be able to run a lesson in my company under the “TIA University” programme. Have thought of sharing what I have learned in mindfulness with my friends for some time. And I finally make it happens in my company, an hour of “Introduction to Mindfulness – Myths and Facts”
Introduction to Mindfulness
I started the lesson with a breathing exercise. It is the core of mindfulness practice, as breathing is the workout which we can’t ignore, or else we will be dead. Lots of them reflect that it is difficult for them to pay attention to breathing itself. There are always other agenda running in the background.
We learned the “myths and facts” as well. The most common myth of mindfulness is people thought that mindfulness has to do with meditation. There is more than one way you can stay mindful, and meditation is just one of them. It allows you to grant yourself a moment to connect with yourself and be present.
Wrapping up
Finally, we wrapped up with a sharing of what we have learned. Mindfulness is not an easy task and you cannot learn by knowing it only. There is a lot of effort we need to put in in order to nourish mindfulness from our inner hearts. And what we want to achieve is to have ownership of ourselves specifically our minds. So practice is necessary. Once you are used to it, mindfulness will become a tool for you to apply at any time.
Special Thanks to Tech In Asia. Looking forward to having more sessions.
