I believe people who landed on this page have some knowledge of self-awareness. I began to learn self-awareness when I realised I think a lot. Most of my thoughts are about myself and tons of questions about how I feel about something and how does this thing do with me. It also means that I have grown up, and I have self-consciousness. However, there are a lot of why in my mind, I am curious about my thought and my mind.
Be curious about our mind
Curiosity is how I begin my journey of discovery. I am curious about the past experience which creates me. Doing that was because our mindset is built from the past experience which we have encountered before. And those lessons we have learned form a set of rules that control how we think and behave. But how does looking into the past help oneself?
Knowing our past
I don’t like looking at the past, because I can’t find back my old memory, or those bad memories have been buried in a deep hole. Looking at the past sounds like criticising myself that I wish I wouldn’t make such a mistake before. It sounds scary when I have to go through this again. Neglecting it might make me feel better, but it will not help me find out what makes me react. Undeniable looking at our past does require a lot of courage to face it.
Becoming Self-awareness does not mean criticising yourself.
However, becoming self-aware does not mean criticising yourself but purely being aware of yourself. It means we begin to notice our thoughts and our emotions and connect with them without judgemental. Doing that can help you to be present, instead of fighting with yourself.
Great article! I really enjoyed reading it and found the information incredibly insightful.
